Fun School

Funschool

http://funschool.kaboose.com/

This site divides the games and activities by age and also by type: Kindergarten to 6th grade and then arcade games and puzzle and board games. You get the opportunity to hear the instructions instead of just reading them.

There is a good search engine on the site that allow you to find a certain category of game such a Thinking Skills or Geography. This helps to tailor your game playing to a subject your child might be interested in or working on at school.

Some of the games are repeated in different age groups so there aren't as many games as it first appears, but even so there are more than enough educational and fun games that this website would never really get boring.

There are also some nice printables such as origami patterns, dot-to-dots, crosswords, coloring pages and word searches. This site is a big help to those who have kids at home for the entire day and need some educational activities to stimulate their minds.

Math Playground

Math Playground

This is an educational site where students can practice their Math skills and have fun.

Parents need to know that this site is true to its name; it's jam packed with Math problems disguised as fun games. This site was created by a Math teacher and educational consultants, there is nothing fluffy on the site. There are games that require specific and complex skills, tutorial videos, logic puzzles, beginning programming and an amazing supply of all word problems. This site requires the latest Flash Playerand Java software; functionality will be missing if you don't have these.
